Dear Mr. Appleton,
I was very sorry to hear that you
were obliged to leave the office yesterday afternoon
without interviewing the Official of the Far East
Department, who I had arranged should see you. I
understand that he had left his room in order to possess
himself of the official papers bearing on the question,
which you desired to discuss. I now write to may that
this official, Mr. Beckett, will be very glad to see you
at any other time which may be convenient to you and that
if you care to drop him a line, he would gladly fix a
definite appointment.
Youra very truly,
A.C.
!
W.A. APPLETON ESQ.
